Boatman / General Duties

If you love to work on or around the ocean, this could be the job for you. No experience or education necessary as we will teach you everything you need to know, but you must be reliable, hard working, trustworthy and willing to learn.

Job Description

The role will include:

• Filling tanks

• Helping with setting up and breaking down equipment

• Helping load / unload the boat and / or truck with equipment

• Keeping watch on the dive boat when divers are underwater

• General cleaning duties around the dive center

• General maintenance duties around the dive center, including the boat, truck, dive equipment and the dive center itself

• General duties related to the diving industry when required​

This role requires heavy lifting so please don't apply if you cannot lift tanks and other dive equipment in and out of a boat and truck.​

Recommended

Applicants with the following will be prioritised:

• Have a driving licence and be confident driving customers

• Have boat driving experience or deckhand experience

• Speak English

• Are strong and willing to work at a fast pace when needed

• Have experience working in a dive center

• Have general maintenance skills such as carpentry, plumbing, building, etc
