Working With Us

Siquijor Divers Center has a small but passionate team and we are always looking for likeminded crew members. Our main season is from December to June and we are always looking for instructors and dive masters for the season. We are still running during the low season, however the work is on an on call basis. We do still get divers most days in the low season.

Please note: This is a location based job opportunity. The successful applicants will need to get their own way to the island and organise their own accommodation (We can certainly assist with this). 

​

The Island

Siquijor Island is a small island (around 75km around the whole island) in the Visayan region of the Philippines. At this time, the airport is being rebuilt and the main way to get to the island is by ferry from Dumaguete (40mins), Bohol (1hour 40 mins) and Cebu (4 hours from Cebu City). The island is a laid back, tropical paradise with nice beaches, plenty of waterfalls, natural springs, cliff jumping, nice smaller mountains and of course amazing diving and snorkelling.

The Diving

With a water temperature of between 26 and 30 degrees celcius all year, an average of 20m visibility most days and very little to no current, diving in Siquijor is like diving in a giant aquarium. The dive sites around the island are generally less than 10 minutes by boat from the dive center and have amazing variety and quantity of corals and reef fish. We also have large amounts of turtles around the island with sightings of 5 to 10 turtles on a dive, not uncommon. Unfortunately, we don't have a lot of big stuff such as sharks, rays and large pelagic fish (however, we do get the rare large barracuda and tuna hanging around).

The Opportunities to Join the Team

From time to time, we are looking for new crew members, especially leading up to a new high season (Dec to Jun), however we still have opportunities pop up all year round.   • PADI Dive Instructor

  • Divemaster - Any agency

  • Boat Captain - Must be Filipino or have visa to work in the Philippines

  • General Duties / Boatman - Must be Filipino or have visa to work in the Philippines

  • Secretary / Office Manager
