Courses
Can I complete the theory before I come to Siquijor?
Absolutely. We will register you with PADI e-Learning, so you can complete the theory part of the course online, before you arrive on the island. Once you are here, you will complete a 20 question knowledge review, to ensure you understood everything before we start the practical part of the course.
How many days does it take to complete the course?
Discover Scuba Diving: The whole experience lasts for around 2 1/2 hours.

Scuba Refresher: Between 30 minutes to 1 hour before the dive to go over the equipment, including the parts, setting up, breaking down and cleaning. The dive has no time limit and you will dive until you reach 50 bar of air.

PADI Open Water: The theory can be done in your own time, but generally takes a day to complete. The practical part of the course will go for 5 dives over 2 full days.

PADI Advanced Open Water: The theory can be done online in your own time and the practical part of the course generally goes over 2 days.
Are There Any Medical Pre Requisites to Complete the Courses?
Yes, there is a medical questionaire that you will complete before completing any course. We will send you a copy of this questionaire before you register for the course to ensure you can safely complete it.
What is the Schedule for the Courses?
Discover Scuba Dive: Can be done in the morning or the afternoon, depending on the availability of the instructor on that day. You will be informed at the time of booking, what time your dive will be.

Scuba Refresher: Generally, starts between 8am and 8:30am so you are ready to join the boat just after 9am.

PADI Open Water: Day 1 of the practical starts at 9am and finishes around 4:30pm. This will include 2 open water, shore dives. Day 2 starts at 8am and finishes around 2:30pm. This includes 2 open water boat dives (unless unforeseen circumstances prevent the boat being used)

PADI Advanced Open Water: Day 1 begins at 8am and generally consists of 3 dives (Often 2 day dives and 1 night dive). Day 2 begins at 8am and finishes around 2pm and consists of 2 dives (Including the Deep Dive).

Is There a Deposit Required When Booking: Unfortunately, due to many people booking and not turning up, there is a 1000 peso deposit. If we cancel the dives for any reason, the deposit is fully refunded, however, if you cancel within 24 hours of the dive or don't show up, the deposit if non refundable.

When do I Pay for the Course?
All Open Water and Advanced Open Water courses are to be paid at the time of booking, due to PADI fees involved in the registration process.
Discover Scuba Dives and Refresher Dives will pay a deposit of 1000 peso at the time of booking and the balance before they dive.
Fun Dives
What is the Schedule for the Fun Dives?
As long as you have completed the paperwork before the day, the divers meet at the shop at 9am. Our staff will have all your equipment set up and ready for you. When you arrive, we will fit you out for a wetsuit and booties, jump on the boat (or in the truck) and go diving.

If you have not completed the paperwork, you will need to come to the dive center at 8:30am to complete it and be ready for the boat by 9am
​
We usually do 2 boat dives in the morning, starting at 9am and are back at the dive center around 1-1:30pm. Those doing a 3rd dive will leave the dive center for the third dive at around 2pm
